Meet Dr. Dueckman
Certified Specialist in Orthodontics
Dr. Dueckman grew up in Vancouver, BC. He attended the University of British Columbia, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology. He was accepted to the UBC Dental School where, after 4 years of study and clinical training, he was awarded his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. Upon graduation he completed a one year General Dentistry Residency at the University of BC Hospital.
After working briefly as a dental associate, Dr. Dueckman then spent 6 years in his own private general practice in the MacKenzie Heights area of Kerrisdale, Vancouver, before returning to school to specialize in Orthodontics. He attended the University of Western Ontario in London for three years. The course of Orthodontic studies was both academic and clinical. He was awarded a Master of Clinical Dentistry Degree in Orthodontics. Dr. Dueckman is registered as a Certified Specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics by the College of Dental Surgeons of BC.
Since becoming an orthodontist, Dr. Dueckman has been practicing in Abbotsford. He built his first office at the Gateway complex, on the corner of Marshall and McCallum roads in 1999. Dr. Dueckman has enjoyed providing Abbotsford with optimal orthodontic care for over 15 years. He and his wife Irene have been married for more than 30 years. They have four adult sons and recently became grandparents. As the boys move on with academic pursuits and personal relationships, Dr. Dueckman and his wife continue to look after the 2 dogs and an old cat that still live at home.
